Hosting
This domain will mainly be used to host my multiple websites, but there is some space reserved for hostees. If you're interested in being hosted by canadianeh.org, I only have a few requests and things you should know before applying. Please check them out below, and if you think your site would be a perfect addition to our little family, send me an email and let me know! :)
To be hosted here, you/your site must be considered Canadian content. That means that if it is a personal site, you are Canadian or living in Canada, or if it is a fansite or fanlisting, it is about someone who is Canadian or something found only in Canada (eg. The Calgary Stampede, Niagra Falls, etc.). This is, of course, not to discriminate against people of other origin, but I really don't expect there to be any interest in hosting here unless there is some sort of Canadian link.
This is a family-friendly site, so please keep any blog entries, layouts, or anything else on your website PG-13 or lower in rating.
You must have FTP and HTML knowledge and proof of it if your site is not currently on the web. I don't have time to teach you and you probably wouldn't want me to either! Please include examples of your work in your email requesting to be hosted, or a direct link to the site you want to move to my domain.
If you do not receive a reply within about a week, it means no. I am terrible at writing refusal letters and I hate having to do it because there are some great sites and webmasters applying but I just don't have the space to say yes to everyone. You can apply again in a little while if you want to, but chances are you'll get the same response (or lack thereof, in fact). If I could take on every site, I definitely would, no doubt about it. However, since I'm the one paying for this domain, it is I who has the final say, not the applicant.
That's it! There really isn't much to say about hosting, except that your site definitely has to be appropriate and I will get in touch with you ASAP if I'm interested in adding your site to the small group already here.
